Join us for this in-person presentation where local author and historian Donald Duffy will discuss Native American use of the land in the area prior to English settlement, land sales by the Nipmucks after King Philip's War, purchases of vast land masses by English land speculators (including today's Palmer), the aftermath of Fr. Ralle's War (Indian War), as well as the settlement of the Elbow Plantation (including Palmer).  Donald is the author of Around Pottequadic and The Quaboag and Nipmuck Indians.
